Avocado & Eczema
Almost always linked to latex allergy — if not latex-allergic, avocado allergy is very unlikely. Avocado oil in skincare is refined and typically safe.

Reaction Timeline
Latex-fruit cross-reactive reactions are immediate — OAS, GI symptoms, potentially anaphylaxis in severe cases. Delayed AD flares from avocado are not well-documented.
How Much Is Needed To React?
A thin layer of avocado on toast is different from a whole avocado in a smoothie. If you are NOT latex-allergic, avocado allergy is unlikely. If you ARE latex-allergic, test with a very small amount.
Does Preparation Matter?
Pers a 1 is relatively heat-labile. Some patients tolerate cooked avocado (in baked dishes) but not raw guacamole. However, data are limited. Most avocado consumption is raw, making this less practically useful. Avocado oil is refined and typically tolerated. [21]
Also Watch Out For...

Kiwi — latex-fruit syndrome
Chestnut — latex-fruit syndrome
Fig — latex-fruit cross-reactivity documented
